Wake Forest Demon Deacons (Basketball)

The Wake Forest Demon Deacons are set to tip off their 2012-2013 college basketball season.  The Demon Deacons did not have a great year last year, finishing in the bottom of the ACC with a mere 13-18 record.  However, the Demon Deacons looked talentless in the first half of the season.  The second half of the season they had a winning record and looked like things were starting to come together as a basketball program.  This season they will return leading scorer C.J. Harris.  Harris averaged 16.7 points per game for the Demon Deacons and they are glad to have him back this season.  In addition, they bring back second leading scorer and leading rebounder Travis McKie.  McKie averaged 16.1 points per game and 7 rebounds a game.  Mckie looks to have a breakout year this year.  The Demon Deacons boast two players that they snagged from the Rivals Top 150 Board to bring to Winton-Salem next year in guard Codi Miller-McIntyre and forward Arnaud Adala Moto.  McIntyre and Moto will be sure to add some offensive firepower as well as depth to the struggling Demon Deacons.  They hope to get back to the NCAA Tournament this year for the first time since the 2010 season.  Wake Forest had there best years under head coach Skip Prosser when they made the tourney for five straight years from 2001-2005.  The NBA plays home to many former Demon Deacons including all-stars Tim Duncan and Chris Paul.  Other names including Josh Howard, Jeff Teague, Al-ForouqAminu, and James Johnson.  This season the Demon Deacons will operate under third year head coach Jeff Bzdelik at Lawrence Joel Veteran Memorial Coliseum.  It is there that the Demon Deacons win most of their games, actually posting one of the best home records in the ACC.  Gold Coast Tickets does not want you to miss out on the opportunity to watch Demon Deacons turn into rising NBA stars.  Grab the best seats in the house at the Lawrence Joel Veteran Memorial Stadium or follow your Demon Deacons on the road right here at Gold Coast.  Gold Coast Tickets has the best selection for your entire 2012-2013 college basketball needs!
