Gold Coast Tickets does not want you to miss your chance to get 2012 UNLV Rebels college football tickets! The Rebels operate under head coach Bobby Hauck at Sam Boyd Stadium, which holds just about 37,000 roaring fans.
Before there induction into division 1 football, the Rebels were a division II powerhouse. In 1974 UNLV finished the season a perfect 11-0, losing in the National Semifinals at the Grantland Rice Bowl to Delaware. Too talented for division II football, the Rebels were definitely tested playing division I ball. The Rebels have had some talented players throughout the last decade, including current NFL Tamp Bay Buccaneers cornerback Eric Wright, but they have not had the high powered offense to put up the points necessary to win.
In 2000, the Rebels took down football powerhouse #8 BYU in ABC’s game of the week. This pushed the rebels to an above .500 record and a 2001 preseason ranking of #24, the first time they had been ranked since being implemented into division I college football. That year they were led by Heisman Trophy candidate quarterback Jason Thomas, but fell short of a bowl game. Disappointed, the Rebels have not found an answer to their problems, as they have not been back to a bowl game since the 2000 season.
This season the Rebels open up against Big 10 standout the Minnesota Golden Gophers on August 30th, a game you do not want to miss! In addition, they will try and upset recent powerhouse Boise State in Idaho on October 20th. Gold Coast Tickets has the best selection for all of your Rebels and college football seats this season!
