College Football

UCLA Bruins

While still pretty inconsistent, the UCLA Bruins football program has been successful of late, making a second straight bowl appearance and their ninth in the last 11 seasons in 2012.  Jim Mora has the program headed in the right direction, however, and 2012 was their first nine-win season since winning 10 in 2005.  Beast running back Johnathan Franklin (1,734 rushing yards, 13 touchdowns) is now a Green Bay Packer, but quarterback Brett Hundley (3,740 passing yards, 29 touchdowns) is just a sophomore this fall.  Top receiver Shaquelle Evans returns, but favorite redzone target Joseph Fauria is now a Detroit Lion.  The biggest problem with the offense has been the lack of line protection, but recruits Scott Quessenberry, John Lopez, and Caleb Benenoch impressed in spring practice.  They will definitely represent an upgrade from last year.  The offense was above average in almost every category last year; the defense was decidedly middle-of-the-pack.  A stacked recruiting class, highlighted by safeties Priest Willis and Tahaan Goodman, defensive end Kylie Fitts, and linebacker Deon Hollins Jr.  This could be a double-digit win season for Mora’s crew, or it could be another inconsistent step backward.  Our money is on big success from UCLA.

The University of California Los Angeles Bruins are members of the Pac 12 Conference.  They operate under second year head coach Jim Mora at the Rose Bowl, which holds just over 92,000 fans.  The Bruins have had many infamous NFL players throughout the years; however, currently the most notable include: Jacksonville Jaguars tight end Marcedes Lewis and running back Maurice Jones-Drew.  UCLA has one national title, 17 conference titles, one Heisman winner, and has heated rivalries with Cal and USC.  Although USC leads the rivalry 46-29-7, UCLA may have eclipsed the USC program for the near future—an unthinkable idea just a few years ago.  This season the Bruins look to start a new era of winning under new head coach Jim Mora and Gold Coast Tickets does not want you to miss out in the action.  Gold Coast Tickets has the best selection for all your college football needs this season!
