Oklahoma native Toby Keith hit bigtime on the country scene in the 90s. He released four studio albums between 1993 and 1997, topping charts and earning many accolades. Debut single “Should’ve Been a Cowboy” was the most played country song of the 1990s. In 1998 he released “How Do You Like Me Now?!”, another strong single. His next three albums produced three more number ones before his label, DreamWorks, closed in 2005. Keith promptly founded his own label, Show Dog Nashville, as he looked to get more involved in the business side of the industry. He’s also known for a restaurant chain called Toby Keith’s I Love This Bar & Grill, one of which is located in Rosemont’s new entertainment complex. They’re not actually owned by Keith; a restaurant enterprise company purchased a license agreement to own and operate them. He also has a clothing line, TK Steelman. But his great music is what put him on top in the first place. Keith hits Tinley Park’s First Midwest Bank Amphitheatre on July 13, and Gold Coast Tickets has the best selection of tickets to get you in!
