The South Florida Bulls are ready to tip off their 2012-2013 college basketball season. The Bulls had a great season last year, making it to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since the 1992 season. Twenty years later, the Bulls found themselves on the brink, having to win a play-in-game to be the official #12 seed. The Bulls beat the Cal Bears for the slot, then went on to upset the #5 seeded Temple Owls in the first round. In the Round of 32, the Bulls found themselves against an even opponent in #13 seeded Ohio Bobcats, who had just upset the Michigan Wolverines in the first round. The Bulls lost a highly contested game to make it to the Sweet 16 for the first time in school history, but this was still an accomplishment. It was the first time in program history that the Bulls were able to make it out of the first round of the NCAA Tournament. Although they loss leading scorer Augustus Gilchrist to graduation, the Bulls return some other stars. They return leading rebounder Toarlyn Fitzpatrick and assist man Anthony Collins. To go along with those two, the Bulls snag a player off of the Rivals Top 150 Board, an usual feat for South Florida. The Bulls will have the pleasure of teaming up with Javontae Hawkins for next season, who chose South Florida over other Big East schools such as Cincinnati and DePaul. The Bulls are coached by 6th year guy Stan Health in Tampa, Florida at the USF Sun Dome. It is at the Sun Dome where the Bulls come up victorious most of the time. Gold Coast Tickets does not want you to miss out on the action as the Bulls try and make it to the NCAA Tournament for back to back years, and just the fourth time in school history.
