College Basketball

Seton Hall Pirates

The Seton Hall Pirates are set to tip off their 2012-2013 college basketball season. The Pirates had a decent year last season as they went 21-13, falling just short of an NCAA Tournament bid. Although they did not make the NCAA Tournament, they did become a #1 seed in the NIT. However, the Pirates were stunned by #5 seeded UMass in the second round of the tourney after taking care of business with Stony Brook in the first. The Pirates will lose their two best players next season, so head coach Kevin Willard will have his hands full next season in Big East play. They lose leading scorer Jordan Theodore, who also led the team in assists. In addition, they lose Herb Pope who averaged a double-double for the squad, but went undrafted. Pope is currently working out with numerous NBA teams to prove he is worthy of a spot at the next level. The Pirates have not been to the NCAA Tournament since the 2006 season, and have not made it to the Final Four since 1989. When the Pirates have made it to the tourney, they have been pretty successful, going 15-9 all time in the big dance. The Pirates play their home games at the beautiful Prudential Center in South Orange, New Jersey. It is here that the Pirates are going to have to win most of their games because it is very difficult to win on the road in the Big East. Gold Coast Tickets does not want you to miss out on the action as head coach Kevin Willard tries to take this broken Pirates program and show the nation that they are a force to be reckoned with. Grab the best seats in the house at the Prudential Center or follow your Pirates on the road right here at Gold Coast.
