Final Record: 11-5 (entering playoffs)
The Seattle Seahawks will enter their 37th season in the NFL and third under head coach Pete Carroll this 2012 NFL season. Sporting new uniforms and logos, the Seahawks hope to improve upon a 7-9 record in 2011 that left them failing to qualify for the playoffs. The 2011 season marked the first time in over a decade that the Seahawks had a new starting quarterback holding the position, Matt Flynn. Now, with a year’s experience in the position and enough time to get acquainted with wide receivers Sydney Rice and Doug Baldwin, expect Flynn to display a strong improvement. Running back Marshawn Lynch also proved his place on the Seahawks offense by rushing for over 1,200 yards last season. Solid defensively was free safety Earl Thomas, who was selected for the Pro Bowl after an impressive season.
