Originally the San Jose Clash, the Earthquakes have been around since the beginning of the MLS. The Earthquakes won their first MLS cup in 2001 led by then nineteen year old Landon Donovan. Their second championship came only two years later when they defeated the Chicago Fire.
Times are changing for the Earthquakes. After moving to Houston and then back into the Bay area they have finally found a permanent home. Set to open in 2015 the Earthquakes will be unveiling a new world class stadium. The stadium will be located 2 miles from downtown San Jose and 46 miles from San Francisco.
Chris Wondolowski is the current face of the franchise. All the US Men’s national team member does is score goals. The MLS all star led the Earthquakes to the best record in the western conference in 2012. The Earthquakes barely missed out on the playoffs in 2013 and will to jump back into the thick of things in 2014. Don’t miss out on the action. Head to Gold Coast Tickets today!
