In the 80s, Ringo Starr wanted a more unique way to tour, seeing as The Beatles could no longer tour as a group. He formed a concept that would take other rock and roll stars and put them in an all-star cast--along with himself, of course--to go on tour for a year or so at a time, rotating members year to year and celebrating the stardom of each individual. A typical All-Starr concert consists of a few Beatles songs, songs from Ringo Starr’s solo career, and songs from the solo careers of the other performers, many of whom also come from their own bands. The 12th All-Starr band consists of Gregg Rolie from Journey and Santana and members from E Street Band, Eagles, Utopia, James Gang, and many others. The All-Starr tour begins June 6 in Canada, making a stop at the Chicago Theatre on June 28. Gold Coast Tickets has the best selection on Ringo Starr & His All-Starr Band in Chicago and nationwide!
