Oregon Ducks

2013: 11-2 (7-2 Pac-12); won Valero Alamo Bowl over Texas

In a powerhouse matchup of Oregon vs Texas in the Alamo Bowl, Oregon whipped Texas in a 30-7 win, culminating a season near the top of the college football world.  Oregon had a soft non-conference schedule, blowing out Virginia and Tennessee early on.  They also blew out #16 Washington and #12 UCLA as they remained the #2 team for most of the season.  But a tight loss at Stanford in Week 9 cost them the division and a berth in the Pac-12 Championship Game.  It was a major setback for the Ducks, as after another upset at Arizona, they were left outside the BCS bowls.  Really unbelievable considering they were fourth in overall offense and 13th in scoring defense.  This will be QB Marcus Mariota’s (3,665 passing yards, 715 rushing yards, 40 total TDs) final season of college as he’ll definitely go near the top of the first round in next year’s NFL Draft.  He’s got one more run with RBs Byron Marshall (1,038 rush yards, 14 TDs) and Thomas Tyner (711 rush yards, 9 TDs) keep a potent rush attack going.  Top target Josh Huff (1,140 rec yards, 12 TDs) is in the NFL now, but Bralon Addison (890 rec yards) and Daryle Hawkins (347 rec yards) look to pick up the slack.  The biggest home games are against Michigan State, Arizona, and Stanford, and there’s big road games at UCLA and Oregon State.

The Oregon Ducks are North Division members of the Pac 12 Conference.  The Ducks play at the lovely Autzen Stadium, which holds about 54,000 fans.  Over the past six seasons they’re 69-12, including only three home losses in that stretch.  They have won 11 conference titles and appeared in 27 bowl games but are still searching for their first national championship.  The Ducks played in the Rose Bowl  in 2010 and 2012, the National Championship game in 2011, and the Fiesta Bowl in 2013.  Haloti Ngata, Jairus Byrd, Patrick Chung, and Jonathan Stewart are among great Oregon Duck NFL players right now. This season the Ducks look to find themselves in the National Championship game once again.  Gold Coast Tickets does not want you to miss out on your chance to see this dominant college football team.  Gold Coast Tickets has the best selection for all your college football needs this season!
