Unlike Texas A&M, Missouri came into the SEC and really struggled for the first time in a while, as their seven-year bowl streak was snapped. The offense was dull, the defense mediocre, and Mizzou seemed unprepared for the tough competition they had coming to them, despite finishing the season at just 5-7. They lost to almost all of their tough SEC opponents. Running back Kendial Lawrence was way overworked, and he wasn’t so effective after a while. He’s gone now, so it’s up to Henry Josey to take over after he missed the entire 2012 season with a knee injury. Quarterback James Franklin was decent, and he’s still their best option so he’ll return. They’ll need to keep those role players healthy in addition to replacing departed linebackers, rebuild the defensive line, and more. They don’t know what they have in Josey or Franklin, really, so this year could go many different ways. A flat out weak recruiting class doesn’t help, though.
The Missouri Tigers are a Big 12 college football team. They play their home games at Farout Field, also nicknamed “The Zou”, in Columbia. The stadium holds just over 71,000 Tiger fans, and they hope to have a good season this year under head coach Gary Pinkel. They have 15 conference titles and 29 bowl appearances. By moving to the SEC their rivalries have changed a good deal, but they still have a conference rivalry with Texas A&M and non-conference rivalries with Illinois, Kansas, Iowa State, and Nebraska. The Missouri Tigers have many players in the NFL, most notably including: St. Louis Rams wide receiver Danario Alexander, Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Blaine Gabbert, and Pittsburgh Steelers defensive lineman Ziggy Hood. Gold Coast Tickets does not want you to miss out on the 2013 Tigers season, as they are one of the most exciting teams in sports to watch, competing in the most overtime games in college football history.
