2013 Record: 4-12
It was a story of two seasons for the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2013. They lost their first eight games of the year heading into the bye. The Jags emerged from their bye week a different team and finished the year going 4 and 4. Head coach Gus Bradley has received rave reviews after righting the ship in the second half of the year.
The Jaguars selected QB Blake Bortles with the third overall pick in the draft. Although right now Chad Henne is considered the starter it won’t be long until it is Bortles time in Jacksonville. In round two of the NFL the Jaguars also selected two receivers. Marqise Lee from USC and Allen Robinson from Penn State. Both look to have an instant impact on the NFL level. They will join Cecil Shorts on what now looks to be a very talented receiving corps. The Jags will be getting Luke Joeckel back from injury and acquired Zane Beadles in the offseason. Both will help dictate the offensive line success. Mainstay in the backfield Maurice Jones-Drew is no longer around and it looks to be Toby Gerhart’s turn at running back.
The Jaguars will be tested from the onset in 2014. They open up with three out of their first four games on the road. While the playoffs look to be another year or two away you can expect the Jags to play like they did following their bye week in 2014. Get your tickets today from Gold Coast Tickets!
