Indiana Hoosiers

2013:5-7 (3-5 Big Ten)

The 2013 season marked the third year of the Kevin Wilson era in Bloomington.  In Wilson’s first season the team won just one game.  The Hoosiers were far more competitive than last year’s team and offered up one of the most prolific offenses in the Big Ten. The defense, however, left much to be desired and was a key reason the Hoosiers found themselves on the outside looking in come bowl selection time. The 2013 season was marked by big wins against Penn State and of course rival, Purdue.  The Hoosiers also stuck with Michigan up in Ann Arbor before faltering 63-47 down the stretch but losses to the likes of Minnesota were simply unacceptable. Indiana boasted a two quarterback system throughout the season with passing threat Nate Sudfeld and running threat Tre Roberson. Sophomore running back, Tevin Coleman averaged 7.3 yards per carry which was good enough for second amongst Big Ten running backs.. The offense, though, was carried by current Denver Broncos wide receiver, Cody Latimer.  Latimer earned all Big Ten honors before being drafted in second round this past May.  The Hoosiers will be returning a great deal of starters from both offense and defense when looking ahead to the 2014 season.  In year 4 of the Kevin Wilson era it is time for the Hoosiers to make a bowl game.  You won’t want to miss one of the best offenses in the Big Ten.
