In Kevin Wilson’s first season as head coach with the organization, his team went 0-8 in the Big Ten and 1-11 overall. This season, the defense will display a noticeable improvement and could even wind up becoming the most improved defense in the Big Ten. The Hoosiers will also undoubtedly be more competitive in the 2012 season, with an offense that is likely to improve in the offseason and a young quarterback that will gain some much needed experience. Best-case scenario will be the Hoosiers improving their record by four or five wins from last season and possibly getting a bowl bid.
The Indiana Hoosiers football program is based in Bloomington, Indiana at Indiana University. The Hoosiers compete in the NCAA Division I and are members of the Big Ten Conference. Since 1960, the Hoosiers have played their home games at Memorial Stadium, also known as “The Rock.” Throughout its existence, the Indiana football program has claimed two Big Ten Championships and has appeared in nine bowl games. The school has several rivalries, but none are more intense than its rivalry with Purdue. Every year the two schools face off to compete for the Old Oaken Bucket, one of the oldest trophies in college sports. The Hoosiers have yet to win a national championship, but are confident that fans won’t have to wait long.
