Florida Gators

2013: 4-8 (2-6 SEC)

The Florida Gators started the year ranked in the top ten. They certainly did not finish there. In worst season in decades, the Gators finished four games under .500.  Head coach, Will Muschamp now enters the 2014 season on the coaching hot seat. Although he finished the 2012 season with a record of 11 and 2, that team consisted of mostly players former coach Urban Meyer had recruited. Part of the struggles in the 2013 season can be attributed to starting quarterback Jeff Driskel breaking his leg. Driskel is healthy again and should be ready to go for the 2014 season opener. Florida will be returning eight starters on offense and on defense. Among the eight starters on offense are running backs are Mack Brown and Kevin Taylor. Muschamp will be looking for big seasons from them if he wants to keep his job. Times are tense in Gainesville but look for the Gators to rebound from a disastrous 2013 year. Check out a game at ‘The Swamp’ and make sure you head to Gold Coast Tickets to get your seats!

The Florida Gators compete in the SEC East and play their home games at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium (“The Swamp”) in Gainesville, Florida. This season is the fourth for head coach Will Muschamp. The Gators have three national titles, eight conference titles, and 40 bowl appearances all-time. Florida has rivalries with Florida State, Georgia, LSU, Tennessee, Alabama, Auburn, and Miami. The iconic orange-and-blue is one of the most recognizable uniforms in all of sports, as it gained much more national attention as Chris Leak and Tim Tebow led the Gators to championships after the 2006 and 2008 seasons, respectively.
