Baylor Bears

The Baylor Bears are set and ready to take on the 2012-2013 college basketball season. The Bears will operate under head coach Scott Drew at the Ferrell Center in Waco, Texas. Baylor had one of their best seasons last season as they went on to a 30-8 record and a #3 seed in the NCAA Tournament. Their high-powered offense led by 2012 NBA draftees Perry Jones III and Quincy Acy was a force to be reckoned with.  They would run up the score and score in bunches, scoring almost 75 points a game, a high number for a team in a major conference. This season the Baylor Bears will look to for new recruit Isiah Austin to lead the way. Austin is the #2 incoming center in the nation behind Nerlens Noel. He is 7’0 and played his high-school football at Grace Prep in Arlington, Texas. Austin is the centerpiece to Drew’s new offensive. Previously, he had relied on the sharpshooting Bears to coast their way into the NCAA Tournament, and now he will have to switch gears to develop a postman. The Bears are no stranger to the NCAA Tournament, in the 2009-2010 season the team was picked to finish second to last in the Big 12 preseason. However, to many peoples surprise, the Bears made a run to the Elite 8, losing to Duke by single digits. Last season, the Bears made it back to the Elite 8, falling to the eventual National Champion in the Kentucky Wildcats. This season the Bears hope to make a run at the Final Four by sprinting up and down the floor with their youth. The #4 recruit in the nation Isiah Thomas hopes to be a star and Gold Coast Tickets does not want you to miss out on the action.
