ASU is on the up-trend behind second-year coach Todd Graham. After a second straight bowl appearance, the Sun Devils have remarkable continuity and structure laid out for 2013 this early in preparation for the season, leading Athlon Sports to pick them to win the Pac-12 South. Last year’s eight-win team was their best since 2007, and quarterback Taylor Kelly (3,039 yards, 29 touchdowns) has quickly become one of the best in the conference with two years of eligibility left. ASU’s offense ranked 14th last year, thanks to Kelly and 205.4 rushing yards per game. But how do you run the 25th best rushing attack without a rusher over 700 yards? You do as ASU does, with four guys (Kelly being one of them) who rushed for more than 490. And they only lose one of those four guys. There is some turnover at wide receiver, but four-star recruit Jaelen Strong steps in to help there. Plenty of starters return from last year’s 40th-ranked defense, including most of a tough front seven. Their schedule works out favorably as well, as they miss Oregon and get to play Arizona and USC at home. Their only four road games are at UCLA, Stanford, Washington State, and Utah, and the last two can be penciled in as wins for ASU. However you slice it, the Sun Devils are looking good for 2013.
The Arizona State Sun Devils are members of the Pac-12 Conference. They operate under head coach Todd Graham at Sun Devil Stadium in Tempe, which holds just about 73,000 fans. The Sun Devils boast many NFL players, most notably including: San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Kyle Williams, Arizona Cardinals tight end Todd Heap, and Baltimore Ravens linebacker Terrell Suggs. They don’t have a national title, but have 17 conference titles, 26 bowl appearances, and a big rivalry with Arizona. Although they trail all time, the rivalry has been very evenly matched through the last 15 years, and Gold Coast Tickets does not want you to miss out on the action.
